I teach voice, songwriting, beginner piano and music theory at RVP Studios in West Haven, Connecticut. I was classically trained myself at a young age and much of that early training is now what's helping me educate people in the art of singing. I have a great passion for teaching, and I do my best to ensure that lessons are both educational and enjoyable for everyone, blending vocal scales and exercises with vocal performance assignments of music that my students actually WANT to sing! I'm often asked what the secret to singing is. I don't think there really is a "secret," per se. I teach my students the fundamentals of singing, such as using the diaphragm for breath control and keeping a relaxed, open throat, which helps with all genres of music -- whether it's pop, Broadway, R&B or heavy metal! Need help with public speaking? I received my bachelor's degree in Speech Communications from Emerson College in Boston. In addition to offering music lessons, I also work with business professionals to develop their presentation skills, which comes in handy when speaking to groups or in front of a camera! All sessions are one-on-one. If interested, please contact me for more information, or go to www.rvpstudios.com.
